• Special calm areas to soothe
Award winning care staff
As with all our care homes, staff at Robin Hood House are chosen for their compassionate and caring natures aswell as for their qualifications and experience. One of our Activities Organisers, Katie Beaver was very recently winner of Hertfordshire Care Provider’s Association Care Awards 2011 and works here at our Robin Hood House Home in Little Gaddesden.
Activities for residents
There is a wide programme of organised activities at Robin Hood House overseen by our full time activity organiser. These are designed to cover a range of interests, from sing-along’s and arts and crafts to cooking and reminiscence sessions. Singers and musicians come to entertain, and a Pet as Therapy dog visits the home every week. There are also opportunities for individuals to be involved with every day activities within the home and gardens. We take small groups in our own minibus on shopping trips and to the local pub for lunch. We also organise a number of summer outings.
Professional services
We have regular visits from a GP, Chiropodist, Hairdresser and mobile library, and can arrange appointments with dentist and optician, as required. To ensure residents’ spiritual needs are met, we hold multi-denominational services within the home. In addition, a Church of England vicar and a Roman Catholic priest visit us regularly.
