Benslow Nursing Home

Experienced Day Care Assistant   Must be 18+ as providing personal care. Qualified to NVQ2 in health and social care. Working on a 2 week rota: Week 1 Monday 2pm to 8pm,Thursday 2pm to 8pm and  Friday 3pm to 8pm. Week 2: Monday 2pm to 8pm,Tuesday 3pm to 8pm, Thursday 2pm to 8pm and Saturday 8am to 8pm.  Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. General Assistant  Must be 18+. We are looking for  a weekend General Assistant, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 2pm, to assist with the cleaning of our elderly Dementia  Nursing Home. Must be able to work part of a team in ensuring the standards of cleanliness in the home is kept to a high level and in line with Health and Safety and Infection control requirements.  Day Care Assistant.20 hours per week. Must be 18+ as providing personal care. Supports Dementia care patients in activities and social interaction Duties: * Analyses patient needs, interests, and past lifestyles by interviewing patients; recording their current participation;  gathering information from other health professionals and patient families. * Keeps patients informed of activity and personal services opportunities by telling them about the availability of leisure programs and recreational activities; preparing and distributing monthly and weekly schedules of activities and their locations; support  in attending activities and events or for personal services.   * Plans and implements programs by assessing needs; designing programs to promote socialization, provide , entertainment, raise spirits, and increase spirituality. * Plans and promotes special events by surveying patient interests; involving the community; gathering support using community resources.   * adhering to professional standards, care policies and procedures to company , local requirements, and national standards. * Enhances long-term care and  reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Skills/Qualifications: Meeting Planning, Scheduling, Internal Communications, Written Communication, Patient Services,  Initiative,Multi-tasking, Proactive, Organisation

AN ENHANCED CRB IS REQUIRED FEE PAYABLE BY APPLICANT £50.00. The ideal candidate will be motivated forward thinking and proactive able to promote and support dementia service users with in the home and out in the community have good  creativity skills and idea’s  to fund raise IE raffles, fates, bring and buy.
