Benslow is a leading independent provider of care for the elderly and operates 5 homes, two of which include facilities for clients with nursing needs. All of our homes provide care for older people living with dementia. We have homes in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. Benslow is a family run business founded by Steve and Sue McQuinn in 1982 who were born, grew up, married and still live in Hertfordshire.
We are commited to good quality care and listen carefully to the views of people who use our service.
Each resident has an individual personal care plan which is unique and identifies care needs, including medication, diet, likes and dislikes, sleep pattern and how our care team can assist. We ensure our care team are supported to deliver care to the standard that we aspire to.
We are fully compliant with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 “Essential Standards for Quality and Safety”
We have a bespoke Dementia Care Training pathway for all our staff to ensure they are equipped with skills and knowledge to maintain our philosophy.
Our nursing care is committed to providing person centred care, delivered by trained and experienced staff, in accordance with our Dementia care standards.
Each individual has their own personal care plan and appointed their own keyworker who works closely with them, their families and friends to ensure individual needs and personal choices are fully met.
